I'm Cheryl Wagah — an environmental policy specialist based in Fredericia, Denmark. I hold a Master's in Environmental Policy from the University of Nairobi, where my thesis on Deposit Refund Schemes for plastic waste sparked my passion for bridging regulation and real-world action.

My career has taken me from CARE International and IFAD to the Danish sustainability sector, working across research, policy analysis, and stakeholder communication. I bring an international perspective to a local challenge — and I love translating complex regulations into clear, actionable steps for busy teams.

What drives me is the moment where research clicks into insight — when scattered regulations become a clear path forward. I believe every SME deserves access to that clarity, not just the companies that can afford the big consultancies.

What is PPWR and why does it matter for my company?
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is an EU regulation taking effect in August 2026. It introduces new requirements for packaging design, recyclability, recycled content, and reporting. If your company places packaged products on the Danish or EU market, these rules will likely apply to you.
Do I need to start preparing now?
Yes. With PPWR taking effect in August 2026, the window to prepare is narrowing. Starting early gives you time to understand the requirements, plan your budget, and implement changes without rushing. Companies that wait risk scrambling to comply at the last minute — which is more expensive and stressful.
What if we're already partially compliant?
That's great — many companies have some elements in place. A Quick Scan or Assessment will identify exactly what's covered and what gaps remain, so you don't waste time or money on things you've already addressed.
What does the Quick Scan cost?

Can we skip directly to Implementation Support?
Absolutely. The three steps are designed to be flexible. If you already have a clear picture of your situation and know what needs to be done, we can move directly to hands-on implementation support.
What if we're overpaying on EPR fees?
Many companies are. Incorrect packaging classification is a common issue that leads to unnecessarily high EPR fees. During the Assessment or Implementation phase, I review your classifications and optimize where possible, often resulting in meaningful cost savings.
Who is responsible for compliance — us or you?
You are. Your company retains full legal responsibility for its own regulatory compliance — that does not change when we work together. My role is advisory: I research and interpret the regulations, identify gaps, and provide clear recommendations. But the decisions and accountability remain with your organisation. Think of me as a specialist resource that strengthens your internal compliance work, not a replacement for it. This keeps the relationship clean and ensures your team stays fully informed and in charge.
